Ulf Mattson, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Atlantic BT Security Solutions

Abstract
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) goes into effect in 2018 and it will affect any business that handles data, even those not based in the European Union. We’ll discuss the impacts on organizations looking to move and host data for EU citizens and associated estimated costs for EU GDPR compliance as well as review case studies, security metrics, third party oversight, measuring cybersecurity preparedness, and automated approaches to integrate security into development operations.

Bio
Ulf is the Chief Technology Officer at Atlantic BT Security Solutions, and earlier CTO at Compliance Engineering. Ulf was the Chief Technology Officer and a founder of Protegrity. He invented the Protegrity Vaultless Tokenization, Data Type Preservation (DTP2) and created the initial architecture of Protegrity's database security technology. Prior to Protegrity, Ulf worked 20 years at IBM in software development and in IBM's Research organization, in the areas of IT Architecture and Security, and Ulf is the inventor of more than 55 issued US patents.

5:15 – 6:00 Presentation: Insider Threats are a bigger problem than we might think

Abstract
According to the 2017 Insider Threat Report, 53 % of companies estimate remediation costs of $100,000 and more, with 12 percent estimating a cost of more than $1 million. The same report suggests that 74 percent of companies feel that they are vulnerable to insider threats, with seven percent reporting extreme vulnerability. We’ll discuss why insider threats are so costly to deal with, and why the pose a more significant threat than we might think.

Bio
Based out of Philadelphia, PA, Mark A. Ruiz is a Senior Manager of Cyber Risk Services with Deloitte. Mark has served as a trusted advisor for several Fortune 500 business, providing security strategy and program maturity guidance. For the last 6 years, Mark has focused on helping his clients develop and mature Insider Threat programs, while also helping them deploy solutions such as user entity behavior analytics solutions to further enable these programs to detect insiders. Mark has primarily spent his career in consulting with Deloitte, PwC, Booz Allen Hamilton and IBM.

Take Interstate 287 South to Exit 42. Proceed to the light and turn left onto Parsippany Road. Continue to the next traffic light and turn left onto Route 46. Turn right onto Smith Road (after the Gulf Gas Station). You will pass the Sheraton. Make a left onto Jefferson Road, and another left onto Kimball Drive.

Take Interstate 287 North to Exit 41A. Bear right onto the ramp and turn right at the end of the ramp onto Smith Road. You will pass the Sheraton. Take a left onto Jefferson Road, and another left onto Kimball Drive.

Take Interstate 80 West to Exit 43B. Follow the signs for Interstate 287 North. Take Route 46 and Smith Road Exit. Turn right at the stop sign. Continue on to the light and turn right onto Smith Road. You will pass the Sheraton. Take a left onto Jefferson Road, and another left onto Kimball Drive.

Take Interstate 80 East to Exit 42C. Follow US-202 North to the traffic light. Proceed on through the light to the end of the road. Turn right onto Smith Road. You will pass the Sheraton. Take a left onto Jefferson Road, and make another left onto Kimball Drive.

Take the Holland Tunnel to New Jersey and follow signs for the New Jersey Turnpike Extension. Then take I-78West. Follow I-78 West to Route 24 West to I-287 North. Take Interstate 287 North to Exit 41A. Bear right onto the ramp and turn right at the end of the ramp onto Smith Road. You will pass the Sheraton.
Take a left onto Jefferson Road, and another left onto Kimball Drive.

Take the Lincoln Tunnel to NJ, and follow signs for I-95 South/New Jersey TPKE South (towards I-280/Newark/I-78). Take exit 15W and proceed onto I-280 West toward Newark/Kearny. Merge onto I-80 West toward I-287/Mahwah/US-46/Morristown. Take Interstate 80 West to Exit 43B. Follow the signs for Interstate 287 North. Take Route 46 and Smith Road Exit. Turn right at the stop sign. Continue on to the light and turn right onto Smith Road. You will pass the Sheraton. Take a left onto Jefferson Road, and another left onto Kimball Drive.
